World Language Department
St. Cecilia Academy is unique among high schools in Nashville in supporting a full three-language world language program. The goal of the program is for each student to develop proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in a modern (French, or Spanish) or classical (Latin) language. The students have an opportunity to take four years of language at the high school level, even if they have placed out of the level one course in their chosen language, based on their experience in their pre-high school coursework. AP courses are offered in all three languages (French, Spanish, and Latin) to eligible students.
