Summer Assignments 2018

The summer 2018 reading lists and math assignments are provided below. Please click on the grade level your child will be entering in August 2018. Instructions are listed under each tab. Please note that some grades have worksheet/sample sheets/log sheets to download.

Rising First Grade Reading Assignments

For students entering first grade

The packet of worksheets sent home with students from the kindergarten teachers is a good option for parents to help students keep their skills sharp. Students are encouraged to bring it completed at the beginning of the school year for a prize, but it is not taken as a grade.

While you will need to take three Accelerated Reading tests the first quarter of school, AR tests on the summer books are not required. You may take a test on them if you feel comfortable being tested on the content. If the library is open and you take AR tests during the summer, only one of those summer tests will count on your first quarter grade.
